I love the Star-bucks commercial. The commercial starts off with a guy named Greg waking up and drinking a Star-Bucks drink. Then out of nowhere the group that sings the eye of the tiger comes out and starts singing a song to the beat of the eye of the tiger. Then Greg walks through the street with the band following him. He enters the bus and the band is still singing. Greg ends up at his office and the band if finishing the song saying that greg will become supervisor. Someone else starts drinking a Star-Bucks and the band starts singing to him.
The ad that stands out the most is symbolize the benefit. I think that it is showing symbolize the benefit by saying that every-time you drink a Star-bucks you will feel more confident. But then they exaggerated it by saying that a band is going to follow you around and keep singing to you. I loved this commercial because nothing is better then getting a kick start in your day.
I think that after watching this commercial, people will want to buy the drink. The people who made this commercial put a good concept in it. First of all they used a very famous song “The eye of the tiger.” Another smart move that they did was to use the actually band to perform it. I mean who wouldn’t love being followed around by a bunch of guys singing to an awesome beat. I mean they are basically saying so many great things about you. I would love to drink that drink if I could.

We researched the great Antonio Borja Won Pat. We went to 2 different libraries, the Agana Library and the MARC at University On Guam. They had tons of information on him. However, they mostly had things about his life as a politician. I was hoping to get more of his life outside of that world and into his actual life. I wanted to know what school he went to as a child, and his family life. Won Pat was not always a politician, he was a teacher, a father, a husband, a friend, and I wanted to see how he really was, and how he treated others.
If I could do this website over, I would do many things differently. First, I would have read up on him. I would have looked in so many books and I would not have wasted my time on the internet trying to look for something I know was not there. Secondly, I would have started earlier and not procrastinate. Waiting until the last minute was one of the main reasons why our website was not good. Lastly, I would have put in more time and effort. Our project was not the best because we were so busy we had no time to research and when we did have the time, it was already do. We could have put more of our hearts into this project because Won Pat was a great man who deserves to should be recognized for his brilliance.
If I could do another website on a different person I would pick Shakespeare. People hardly ever write anything on Shakespeare. The truth is that he has written amazing plays that teach different lessons in life. His plays are remembered till this day and the world should know a little bit it more about him and his life. What made this ordinary man into an extraordinary writer?

If I had to pick 1 historical person 2 report on, I would pick Ted Bundy. Your probably wondering why I would chose one of the most notorious serial killers of all time. I chose Bundy because everyone always writes about the good guys like Martin Luther King Jr. or George Washington. But Im here to show you that America isn’t all great. Ted Bundy murdered about 30 women. He changed how the people viewed the world. Bundy was not only crazy, but he was also very handsome. People saw that you shouldn’t judge a person by it’s cover. You never know what’s happening on the inside. If you want to know more about Bundy click on one of these links…

I have researched three theme parks in Florida. I found that Universal Studios is the best place to go for a family of 4 with a budget. When you arrive at the gates of Universal Studios, you have to pay $75.00 for an adult for a day. However, you only have to pay $63.00 for a child. If it is a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) then you have to pay the complete total of $276.00.
The other two theme parks are a bit more expensive. When you go to Sea World you have to pay $74.95 for 1 adult and 64.95 for 1 child. If it is a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) you will have to pay the complete price of $279.08. But if you go to Magic Kingdom, you would have to pay $79.70 for an adult and $67.70 for a child. If it is a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) you will have to pay the complete price of $294.08. As you can see Universal Studios is the best choice out of the three theme parks.

Bullying is one of the worst problems that happens in Untalan Middle School. So we celebrated Anti-Bullying day. They told us about different types of bullying. The first presenter wasn’t exactly excited. She did however, tell us an interesting story about Maegan Meier. One day a boy named Josh befriended her. Their relationship grew and grew. Then one day Josh abruptly ended the relationship with a harsh coment that changed Maegan’s life. She commited suicide soon after. The athorities found that it was Maegan’s ex-bestfriend’s mom who was sending the comments. I think that the first presenter should of told more stories.
The next presenter was GPD. They told us about bullying and what could happen. They said that in the real world it is called harrassment, not bullying, and in fact it is a crime. The presenters didn’t really catch my attention. Then the peer mediators did a skit. They showed how you should report being bullied and not sit around and watch. Watching is the same thing as bullying. Then a boy named Nathaniel sang a song about being bullied.
While we waited for the YCW presentor, we listened to music. I thought that it was very unorganized. Then a teacher started telling us about bullying and how it didn’t matter what gender you are. But what that teacher said was contradicting the peer mediator’s presentation. Bullying is bad.

“The lessons I learned during break”
I.The joy of family!!!
A. My uncle visisted.
1. We went to the beach
2. We had a party for him and his daughter.
B. Christmas Party
1. We drank sparkling cider.
2. We exchanged gifts.
II. New Years was fun
A. We watched the fireworks.
1. We ran out to the back of our apartment at midnight.
2. We took a lot of pictures.
B. Th Party
1. We watched Forgetting Sara Marshall.
2. My cousins had a pull up contest.
I learned a couple of things during the break. One of the things I learned is the joy of family. My uncle and his daughter came to visit from Las Vegas. We went to the beach with them. Before they left, we had a huge party for them. then on christmas we went to my grandma’s house. We drank sparkling cider. We also exchanged gifts.
Another thing i learned was that New years can be so much fun. My family and I watched the fireworks. We ran to the back of our apartment when it hit midnight. I think we took about 60 pictures. That day we went to my Aunties for her New Year party. We watched ”Forgetting Sarah Marshall” in the comfort of the living room. We even had my older cousins have a pull up competition. It was so funny, especially when the old men (like my dad) tried to out do the boys. I bet my grandpa could kick all of their butts, after all he was in the army. that party and a few days of relaxation ended my terrific break.

Pictures are easily taken, but taking good pictures, now thats a challenge. A lot of times people want to take pictures of small objects. To take those pictures you need to use macro. It allows the lens to focus up close without making to picture blurry. When your in a dark area, you should use fill flash. It uses the flash to make the picture lighter.
There are other ways to take good pictures. A lot of times people just press the shutter, but that might make the photo blurry. If you hold down on the shutter, it will focus automatically. That is called autofocus. Red eye is when the subject’s eye is red. This is caused by an electronic flash. You should also avoid back lit. Thats when the back of the subject is havily lit, causing the subject to be underexposed.
To take a good picture you need to know some of the parts of the camera. Hot Shoe is a flash connector, which allows the flash and the shutter to trigger in sync. Another part is the backlight. The illumination for a color LCD display. Some of the memory include Thumbnail and PNG.

My survey consists of 3 questions. My first question was, “What mood are you in today?” The options were happy, sad mad and other. 41% said happy, 9% said sad, 0% said mad and 65% said other. Joanne said, “Wishing me and him were still friends.” Paige answered, “Hyper!” My second question was, ” How would you describe yourself?” The options were bubbly, shy, outgoing, and other. 12% said bubbly, 21% said shy, 21% said outgoing, and 74% said other. Pialani said that she is bubbly and outgoing. Ritacia said that sometimes she is boring. My third and final question was, “What is your favorite color?” The options were red, blue green, and other. 26% said red, 21% said blue 18% said green and 62% said other. Taylor C. said that her favorite color is green. Casey asked if that was a trick question.
I chose my questions for reason. I chose my first question because I wanted to see the difference in everyone’s answers. People had the similar responses to each other. I chose the second question because people always tell you how you are. but I wanted to see how they perceive themselves. a lot of people thought themselves to be bubbly. My chose my third question because its a familiar question. I think that the color they like somewhat reflects how they are. People’s favorite colors always change just like their feelings. A lot of people chose bright colors which says that they are happy. We all had to take everyone’s surney. The survey that I found interesting was Alyssa’s. Her survey is regular normal questions. Most students put crazy questions like, “Do you have bars on your window?” But Alyssa’s questions were fun to answer! Try it out for yourself… Aly Bby

On October 31, 2008, Untalan Middle School had an activity day. A dance was held in the school gym. I felt that the dance was very unorganized. The DJ spoke a lot, I think he only played about 3 songs. He was speaking throughout the dance.
The sound system overheated, and they told us to report back to our homebase. We still had an hour left and the students were getting upset. It was chaos. We were getting mixed instructions. Some were saying to go back into the gym, while others were directing us to go back to our homebase. It was very confusing and frustrating. The dance was a complete mess.
Interviews:
1. Did you enjoy the dance?
Cameron stated, “The dance was extremely boring. They need to get a better DJ!!!”
2. Did you feel disoriented during the mix up?
Jamie said, “I was really confused. Why couldn’t they make up their minds?”
3. Do you think the dance was well organized?
Kevin said, “No it wasn’t organized. It was the total opposite.”
